There’s a quiet moment before change begins — the breath before speaking up, the pause before taking the first step, the silence before something new starts. That moment has come for Community Care Global Foundation (CCGF). We’re thrilled to officially announce the launch of our digital home, marking a major milestone in what began as a promise made in July 2024 in Mysore: to build an organisation that doesn’t wait for systems to change, but acts alongside communities to make change happen now.
Founded by three individuals driven by belief rather than budget, CCGF started small. A counselling workshop in a college classroom. A medical camp near Tumakuru. A tree plantation drive on village common land. But what those founders understood intuitively is now the heart of our movement: meaningful impact begins close to home. Whether you’re a student in Mysore, a farmer in Hassan district, or a professional ready to volunteer your skills, your contribution matters more than you know.
Our Story: Why We Started
The summer of 2024 brought clarity. Three people — Manjunath B, Rajashekara, and Manjunatha T M — came together with a shared frustration. They saw students facing exam anxiety without support. Villages months away from the nearest doctor. Environmental degradation dismissed as someone else’s problem. Most importantly, they saw capable young people willing to act, but without structures to channel that energy into sustained change.
Community Care Global Foundation was registered as a Trust on July 23, 2024, in Mysore, with a clear mandate: operate across Karnataka, serve all communities regardless of caste or religion, and maintain full financial transparency through chartered accountant audits. The founding vision was ambitious but practical — build an organisation that could one day partner with government bodies, international NGOs, and corporate CSR programmes while staying rooted in grassroots reality.
Two years later, as we launch our website and expand our digital outreach, that original belief remains unchanged. Real change happens when ordinary people decide that waiting isn’t an option anymore.
Our Mission: Six Ways We Turn Care Into Action
Our work spans six interconnected programme areas, each addressing a piece of the larger puzzle of community wellbeing:
We Educate. Mental health awareness programmes in schools and colleges help students understand anxiety, stress, and depression before these become crises. Quality education access reaches beyond textbooks to include life skills and vocational training.
We Heal. Free medical camps in rural areas bring healthcare to those left behind by the system. Counselling support during critical periods — exam results, family illness, economic stress — reminds people they’re not alone.
We Empower. Women and youth receive vocational training, entrepreneurship guidance, and the confidence to build futures on their own terms. Self-help groups gain financial literacy and access to microfinance resources.
We Protect. Environmental conservation through tree planting, lake restoration, and sustainable farming campaigns ensures communities inherit a livable planet.
We Connect. International exchange programmes bring global mental health best practices to Karnataka while taking local solutions to the world stage.
We Build. Rural infrastructure — clean water systems, roads, renewable energy — creates the foundation upon which everything else becomes possible.
This holistic approach comes directly from our understanding that problems don’t exist in silos. A student struggling with mental health also needs accessible education, safe housing, and economic hope. A village needing doctors also requires roads, clean water, and environmental stability.
What Makes Us Different?
Many NGOs talk about “empowerment” and “community ownership.” At CCGF, we measure it differently. We track whether our volunteers are trained in crisis intervention. Whether beneficiaries speak Kannada and get explanations in their language. Whether our annual audits pass without qualification. Whether partners return after initial collaboration because trust was earned, not assumed.
Our Exchange Programme exemplifies this philosophy. We’re actively building partnerships with international mental health NGOs and academic institutions, facilitating knowledge transfer both ways. What we learn from global mental health research informs our local workshops. What Karnataka communities teach us about culturally appropriate care travels back to our international partners.
Transparency isn’t optional. Per our Trust Deed, all funds go solely toward programme objectives — no profits, no dividends to trustees, full audit trails. Every rupee donated is traceable. Every initiative reported. This commitment matters deeply as we seek to build long-term relationships with donors, institutional partners, and corporate sponsors who demand accountability.
How You Can Get Involved
Starting out means there’s work to do — and we need you.
Volunteer. Whether you can commit five hours a month or fifty, there’s space. Teach life skills to students. Assist at medical camps. Help document our work through photography or social media. Organise awareness sessions in your college or neighbourhood.
Donate. Financial support powers everything — from medicine at medical camps to saplings for tree planting drives. Corporate CSR programmes and individual monthly donors make sustained work possible. All donations are tax-exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act once registration completes.
Partner. Schools, colleges, hospitals, businesses, and government departments — collaborative partnerships multiply impact. We’re seeking institutions ready to co-create programmes, share resources, and reach communities together.
Spread the Word. Share this post. Introduce us to someone who might benefit. Tag a friend who’s been talking about wanting to volunteer but hasn’t taken the leap yet.
The Road Ahead
Launched in 2024, going public in 2026. That timeline tells part of our story — we’re building sustainably, not rushing. In the next 12 months, we plan to expand mental health awareness programmes to 50+ schools and colleges across Karnataka, establish three rural health centres with mobile clinic support, launch our first international exchange cohort, and restore 10 urban lakes through community-led conservation efforts.
But growth without roots is just expansion. We’ll measure success not by scale alone, but by depth — by students who can articulate what mental health means, by villages that have their own trained first responders, by volunteers who stay involved for years, not weeks.
Join Us Where Care Begins
This is only the beginning. Community Care Global Foundation exists because three people decided action mattered more than permission. It grows because hundreds more believe that care — real, sustained, evidence-based care — transforms communities.
If you’ve reached this page and felt something shift inside — maybe recognition, maybe hope, maybe the urge to finally take that step you’ve been delaying — then you’re already part of this story. Welcome home.
